| I know the "Holy Taco" has some policy about posting actual nudity for their photo of the day...but at what point does a string thin piece of fabric count as clothing? Not that I'm complaining, it just seems like a silly line to draw. |

I saw this on the failblog just yesterdayIt's funny how the news reporters didn't even realize what happened at first. As for the cop, well this isn't "Mario Kart" where you can make turns like that easily without hitting anything..
The jiggly motion really hurts the eyes sometimes.!

Nearly killed = close to death, but saved by the miracle of modern medicineNow if we could only get the media to stop saying, "shot dead." It's not like they could be "shot alive."It's either "shot and killed" or "shot and survived."?
I'm not trying to troll... |

So many lies from TheGrifter that I can't respond to all. Here's just a few:--* "Appointed roughly 30 czars, not approved by Congress, to insulate himself from criticism?"I think the actual number is 32 right now. So he's got one more czar position than Pres. Bush had, but has appointed fewer people to the czar positions that Pres. Bush did. Less than half are appointed without Senate confirmation by Pres. Obama (I think it's 14, but might have counted wrong). At least 2 were appointed without Senate confirmation by Pres. Bush and are still in the czar position under Pres. Obama - he has neither replaced nor removed them, so is responsible for those positions only by virtue of not having eliminated the positions.Compare Pres. Obama's number to the over 20 czars appointed without Senate confirmation by Pres. Bush (especially classy were the 2 appointsments made during Senate recess because he couldn't get a candidate that was actually able to get senate confirmation). Note also that nearly half of Pres. Obama's czars (and around 1/3 of Pres. Bush's czars) were appointed by high-level officials other than the president. And don't forget (I say this while realizing that nearly every conservative I know doesn't know or has forgotten) that the "czar" moniker has been around since FDR, and used by every president since JFK.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._executiv ...--* "Let unemployment slide to over 12%"Currently at 9.7%: http://data.bls.gov/PDQ/servlet/SurveyOutputServle ...Or are the conservatives now using the actual unemployment numbers that include those not working and no longer looking for a job? Because I remember how many times conservatives complained that it was not valid to use those same numbers under Pres. Bush - especially when unemployment was over 12% during his reign using the same method of figuring unemployment that you appear to be using.--* "(despite repeated, absolute guarantees it would never get above 9%)?"A valid complaint. It was stupid on his part to say that, but note that he also came out later and said the economy was much worse than they realized when they made the claim. A stupid CYA on his part to give himself a free-pass on a stupid comment, but also a claim that some economists agree with.--* "Shut down ballistic missile defense right after North Korea test fired an ICBM and Iran edges closer to becoming a nuclear power?"The system that received unanimous recommendation be shut down by the Joint Chiefs of Staff? So you oppose Pres. Obama listening to his top military advisors for this, yet also say:--* "Sat on his hands while his generals scream for more manpower in Afghanistan,"Conservative logic fail much? And Pres. Obama is already working to replace the system that wouldn't and couldn't work (according to the Joint Chiefs of Staff) with one that is already know to work, even if imperfectly, and can be distributed more widely to offer better coverage. Oh, and Russia announced they were pulling back missiles from their eastern borders after Pres. Obama announced the shutdown of the system. But conservatives don't like that information being passed around - it might make it harder to hide that Pres. Obama did the right thing.--* "He's blown a trillion dollars on Democratic pork and called it a stimulus package? (And even now only a fraction of the money has been spent)."Blown a trillion dollars, but has only spent a fraction? This is too inane to even speak of beyond pointing out the self-contradictory nature.--* "Not closed Gitmo because he can't figure out where to put a bunch of hardened terrorists? (This didn't occur to him before)?"He already knows where to put them - is US supermax prisons. But the conservatives and conserva-dems oppose this because they fear even letting these prisoners fly over the US. Their opposition seems rooted in the fact that no one has ever escaped from Gitmo. I'll grant them that no one has escaped, but if that's the reason they should be kept in Gitmo, it's also a justification to put them in supermax prisons. Guess what - no one has ever escaped from a supermax prison. Some people object, because they say we can't have terrorists housed with other prisoners in the supermax prisons because they'll convert more prisoners to their way of thinking, but we've had terrorists in these prisons at least since the first world trade center bombings over 15 years ago.Geez - I pointed out more lies and half-truths than I intended. Why not stick to the real criticisms of Pres. Obama, like his maintaining the horrible wiretap program or not really stopping torture of prisoners? Why do you have to complain about things that aren't very supportable, and sometimes even contradicted by your own later statements?

"And why not, seeing as how repetition is how neverlution got "proved" true in the first place?"No, that would be (as Harabeck mentioned) the fossil evidence, genetic studies, observed evolution in the wild (and in the lab) and all the other various evidences for Evolutionary Theory that you are woefully, willfully ignorant of, and every time you demonstrate it you look more and more the fool. I really do pity you, fool. |
