It should be a lot like Cocoon. That movie was the apex of gothic/cosmic horror!.
Yeah, because no one is doing any research into better batteries, since they're only used in electric car prototypes.::rolls eyes::In other news, I WANT A PONY NOW!!

WHY ARE YOU YELLING? I thought potheads were supposed to be mellow.?
Socialism is inevitable in a society where automation makes human labor obsolete. We're not quite ready for full blown socialism with our current technology, but the computer revolution is accelerating the pace of innovation. Physical labor is largely obsolete and someday (perhaps in our lifetimes) computer intelligence will eventually make human thought obsolete. It's a ***** scary thought that even brilliant minds could possibly become obsolete. What will happen to our self worth? What will our purpose in life become? What will we do with our time when we're not spending 40+ hours a week at work?I believe that we still need capitalism to innovate, but eventually we will reach a tipping point where society will be satisfied with we have and will no longer feel the need for competing in the rat race. |

Or...just go to a credit union. That Wal-Mart ***** has lots of fees, too. Just getting the card costs $3.00. Open a checking account at a credit union, and the debit card will be free.My credit union has full financial services (including car loans, mortgages, CDs, credit/debit cards, financial advice, free ATMs nationwide, good rates), but none of the ***** fees of banks.I have overdraft protection on my checking account. It's free, assuming my savings can cover it (which it can). |
