While I agree most of the article would constitute bitching, the point he's trying to make is that the rule isn't nuanced enough to understand that most of the electronics people want to keep on don't really pose any danger. It's basically like being in grade school- you ban everything for the time being because if one person still has their Kindle "on", then someone else is going to want to turn theirs on and pretty soon everyone will be chatting on Skype with the pilot..
Norris, you're a douche. Bring it bitch!!

We don't fight aliens with nuclear weapons. We defeat them with computer viruses via their USB ports.?
1. That is the only incentive that will work to get people to live near where they work, and those who have long commutes are responsible for a much greater proportion of costs, so they should pay higher taxes.2. The idea is to give people a pass, so they experiment with public transit, not to ban the use of a car on that day.3. It's called zoning. They do it every where. You can't build a pig farm in the middle of a city just because you own the land, nor should you be able to.4. see #35. Amtrak is actually pretty good, if you aren't short sighted in your assessment. Amtrak competes with cars and planes. Both of which are heavily subsidized by the government (roads and airports). And what is the cost to other users of the road if people use a car instead of a train? It makes sense to subsidize something that gets people out of cars...6. Agreed |

Finally ran out of money, I suspect.Too bad it's only on stage. I always liked PeeWee Herman and Paul Reubens seems like a stand up guy, albeit a little weird, natch.

You can't tell a country not to develop nuclear weapons when its enemies (US and Israel) have stockpiles of it. I love how the Israelis act innocent and completely defenseless when, in actuality, they're the nuclear-armed bully whose been threatening to bomb Iran for the last few years! |
