the unfortunate thing about this current bunch of conservatives is that they're crazy AND unfocused. it's like Baseless Accusation Hopscotch (BAH!) with them."He's a Muslim!""He's a Socialist!"He's a Narcissist!""He Was Born in Africa!""He's a One-Man Terrorist Sleeper Cell!""He Wants to Kill Your Gradma!"as soon as one of their lunatic diatribes starts to get a little traction (remember when the whole Birther movement was actually getting some decent mainstream attention?), they lose focus and jump on another crazy train.
I don't think they're for capitalism so much as they're against democrats.Yay politics!

yep: the original title ("An epistatic ratchet constrains the direction of glucocorticoid receptor evolution") doesn't seem as exciting. And the study is fundamentally about the existence of compensatory mutations..
So, what this guy do to deserve to be kicked off a flight? Put a small cloth bag on his lap? Wear an eye mask while the plan was parked? Those are serious threats to other passengers? Looks to me like the steward, attendant, waiter, whatever, was on a power trip.!

And for a bit of context, here's a sobering story about life in Dubai if you're not absolutely filthy rich, http://digg.com/d3oA2oThe place is messed up.?
navycow, dog aggression was BRED into pitbulls and it is still in their genes. It is a tossup with them if they will like other dogs. You can certainly make them tolerate other dogs, but it's still a sticky situation..... My dog loves the 25 pound beagle that we have here and they play and wrestle outside all the time, never once seen her "snap" or even show some body language that is in any way aggressive with him. However, other dogs, she is just not a fan of. Everyone in this entire digg thread needs to separate aggression for dogs into two types that are COMPLETELY UNRELATED: Human aggression and dog aggression. Pits have it in their genes to be dog aggressive and they ALSO have in their genes to NOT be human aggressive. Go read their history. The problem with this situation and most situations in this country is the people that are the loudest, and the people making the rules often, are the least educated about the subject matter. |

consumers aren't going to "benefit" either. this is just something to keep the current policy in practice except with more government control/regulation. consumers would have benefited if they had of gotten rid of the monopolies that the telcos have over the communication lines we've put in place.

What, you thought he'd release the terrorist suspects? Their countries don't want them back. We don't want them here in the US. If some of them weren't radical at first, they are now. So honestly, what did you think would happen? |
