“I'm not for "Big Govt," but the FCC has the right idea. There are a number of ISPs that have Sandvine (the same app that Comcast is using to do this) installed and passively watching traffic, awaiting the outcome of the Comcast/FCC tussel before stepping in the mix.

Um, no, our Congress is involved because (1) they make the laws for the nation, (2) this is clearly interstate commerce, and (3) it's currently legal. Duh..
OK, maybe they were just separated at birth:http://static.open.salon.com/files/bob_denver_jpg- ...http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/photos/uncategor ...!

NOT for the ipod touch?
I was driving around in LA for one week this summer when I went to a family wedding there. How anyone can do it full time mystifies me... I get stressed out just thinking about it!The happiest people I know in LA live within walking distance of their jobs (or work from home) - and this is also true of the happiest people I know, regardless of where they live.I can't be partial about public transportation because I love love love it. Seriously. I used to live in New York. Last year at Thanksgiving when we were going around the table saying what we were thankful for I said public transportation. People laughed but it's absolutely true. Tax all the drivers to put in a better, more extensive pubtrans system? In my dreams, yes, but I'm too jaded to think it would happen in LA... |

As a geek, I loved Akihabara when I visited Japan last month - I can't wait to go back again next year!Side note: the guy in picture two looks like the milk drinking bass guitar playing cross dresser someone submitted a couple of days ago. Im sure someone can find a link in case anyone missed it.

We'll never have to worry considering we've had sold out seats and a decade long + waiting list for 40 years.

It's really funny when I read about these "trade your guns for whatever" things. We had one here in Austin a few years back, and the weekend after, there were loads of cops selling tons of guns at the local gun show. These events always bring the good-intentioned little old ladies, who unknowingly bring their dead husband's gun collection in, not realizing that some of the guns are actually quite valuable. I picked up a really nice English shotgun for next to nothing. Hey, if you're going to just get rid of the guns, why not cut out the middle man, and walk away with some cash, as opposed to some crappy baked goods. On a side note, WTF is wrong with the text entry box? it keeps resizing as i'm typing....VERY distracting. The bottom margin keeps jumping up over the line i'm typing on. Probably unique to my pc, but annoying, none the less.

Republicans forgot what the hell liberty meant, and now Obama's been struck with the same affliction. Oh Joy, oh Rupture. |
