I was with you up until "...and they sure as hell don't want a desktop."Wrong. Laptops suck for gaming! And I know, I have a gaming laptop. They get hot which also means the keypad gets hot and so your hands also get hot/sweaty, the touchpad is not at all sufficient for anything other than simple Windows games, the fans blow louder than Glenn Beck, they are almost twice as expensive for half the performance of a desktop, and their screen size is either a) too small, or b) if big enough, the laptop is big enough most portability is out the window. Desktops crush laptops. I wouldn't buy a laptop for any reason today, I'd only go powerful desktop and a netbook for travel/meetings.However, all that being said, people do want simplified computers that will rival 360/PS3 graphics at the same resolutions and quality settings without having to keep up to date on the AMD/NVidia rivalry and tech specs. Not everyone cares about playing at 2560x1600 resolutions with 16xAA and the graphics on max. Yes, it's nice. No, it's not worth the money, and this is coming from a major PC hobbyist. PC gaming would benefit immensely from having an integrated chip that would rival those consoles.I'm sick and tired of game developers focusing entirely on consoles and then releasing crappy ports to PC, but I readily admit that until PC gaming is as simplified (not the games, but the experience) and powerful enough for the common, non tech-oriented gamer, that will continue to be the case.Technically speaking though, the HD3200 and 9400 chips aren't too far behind, so it is feasible.
