| If I were the individual, I would just submit the bill to his insurer. I think that's what the council was implying he should do with it anyway. They suggested smaller fees could be paid by the person directly, and larger ones could be submitted to insurance carriers and dealt with on that level. (The insurer can determine who was at fault for the accident, and route the bill for payment accordingly.)IMHO, the council may want to reconsider the criteria for when the road damage bills go directly to the person as opposed to the insurance carrier. They may want to send it directly to the insurer in situations where the bill is above a certain amount. Also, if the person in question is still alive, but seriously injured and in the process of recovery - that's another instance when the bill really should go to the insurer. |

I don't think you entirely understand what Moore advocates.Personally, I plan on seeing the movie before coming to a conclusion about it.
I've worked at various colleges for the past 10 years since graduating myself. I have to agree with him... it's the best perk of the job. ;)

“The duplex that I currently live in has a deck made out of planks of plastic that looks like wood. No maintenance needed, it doesn't crack, it doesn't warp, it isn't slippery when it's wet, the shovels don't get stuck when you're trying to get rid of snow and it is really sturdy. However I still question using plastic for bridges where there are chances of people crashing into the support. Anyone know what's it like to crash into a huge block of plastic?

You're analogy really doesn't work for me.To me, XP is like the cute girl next door. Mom loves her, Grandma loves her, everybody thinks she's great. You have so much history together... a real special bond. You like everything that she does, all her little quirks, and you know each other real well. You guy's even work at the same place together. Needless to say, she's awesome at her job, too.Windows 7 is kinda like that new chick that you recently met in a bar. She's incredibly sexy... a real saucy minx. She's beautiful, she's got an awesome rack; she's a real knockout. But, she's high-maintenance, and she's always on that ***** phone of hers. She's so god-damned busy, it's hard to enjoy time with her. And don't even think about making her get ***** job.And you think, well she's better than her older sister. Her older sister is hot, too, but has major issues; some daddy-touched-me kind of baggage. What did I do?Well, I'm pretty shallow, so I stuck with the hot chick. I bought her an assistant and a blue-tooth headset, so I can at least have sex with her while she's on the phone.Sure, I still talk to XP at work... we're on good terms and all. She knows that when I go home for the day, I want to ***** a 10. And she's okay with it.

why would comcast be against people downloading torrents on their own service, you would think they would embrace it, more people would want their internet, my parents actually just switched to comcast internet, from at&t DSL, and I have noticed that my torrent downloads have gotten much faster.

Yeah, people are getting publishing and royalties from record sales totally mixed up. The Beatles have a very lucrative deal on royalties from record sales. After all, they started their own record label in late '67 (Apple Records) so that they could dictate that kind of thing. The two of them and the estates of the other two get a combined 60% of record sales, an unheard of figure for most artists but, hey, it's The Beatles we're talking about here.Publishing rights covers things like actual publishing of the music and lyrics (sheet music, lyrics in CD booklets and other books), plus performance rights. Performance rights means when someone covers their songs, either live or on record, they owe a chunk of money to the publishing company. And even though Sony owns a majority interest in their publishing (MJ sold it to Sony when he needed to raise cash for the child molestation trial), The Beatles do get cash from the publishing royalties...just nowhere near 60%.Long story short...Paul, Ringo, Yoko and George Harrison's family are making big bucks off these recent reissues of The Beatles' catalog.
