Hmm, how would porn look with this effect...
Luckily, Bruce Willis and Aerosmith are on speed dial for just this very scenario.

What the hell are you talking about? There is going to be some amount of pollution in any widespread change in infrastructure-- hell, EVERYTHING causes pollution.Solar road panels is a pretty radical idea. I for one am surprised the DOT gave them money for a prototype model. Sure, we need changes in peoples' mindsets and philosophy, but that's a real challenge. I think this is an excellent idea. One, because our infrastructure is outdated and two, because this will combine different technologies and make for an ultimately much more efficient infrastructure system that will produce clean energy and improve road safety..
Since Light Emitting Diodes run on DC current, using them directly from a local solar/battery array may be even more efficient than getting a transformer into the circuit. Maybe that is the way we should go. And more financially efficient.!

How can you have internet access when things are so bad that you don't have power for several days and society has been laid to waste?

The scariest piece of code I have ever seen, got to be when a guy at my University wrote a completely functioning implementation of Game Of Life written in *****, where the source code also doubled as ASCII art of the word "Life" in 3D letters.

@siszam:You're the defender of "privacy" and you want me to use Google? Fine, I did:Your name is Tristan, you are a white, 43-year-old woman, with a Mexican husband of seven years and three sons from a previous marriage. The youngest is 21 and another is in the military, and you have also fostered children, and attend a Bible-based church. You feel that homosexuality is a sin, you are a second amendment fan absolutist, even though your own child was shot on the street, but strongly oppose the war. You have occasional problems with anxiety but are suspicious of doctors, especially after your experience caring for your mother, who is very ill. My apologies there. You are originally from the South, but now live in Southern California in, shall we say, a neighborhood that is not considered particularly wealthy, but you certainly have more money now than when you were a little girl in an all-black neighborhood, or when you were first married to your first husband, but I won't publish your address here.Shall I go on? You're willing to throw that around the Net yourself, but God forbid the government asks for half that much in order to actually help deliver social and other services to its citizens in an efficient way.Tristan, the only problem you have with privacy is that you don't understand it. |
